AI Image & Video Generation
Generate photorealistic images and AI videos with automatic brand-styled text overlays for your social posts.
Image Generation — How It Works
- You provide a prompt — either directly or through the AI agent. The prompt describes what kind of image you want.
- Viraly enhances the prompt— your brand's visual style, business type, and realism guidelines are automatically injected to ensure the image looks professional and on-brand.
- The image is generated — using one of the supported AI image models.
- A text overlay is applied — Viraly extracts a headline from your post and composites it onto the image using your brand colors, fonts, and one of 15+ layout styles.
- The result is saved — to your media library, automatically attached to the content item if one was specified.
Supported Image Models
OpenAI GPT Image
High-quality photorealistic images. Default provider.
Google Imagen Ultra
Google's latest image generation model with exceptional detail.
Grok Imagine
xAI's image generation with creative, expressive results.
Choosing a provider: You can set your preferred image provider in Settings > Brand. The AI agent will use your chosen provider by default.
Layout Styles
Viraly includes 15+ text overlay layout styles organized into two template families:
Dark Premium
Dark backgrounds with organic gradient glow blobs, structured image zones, and two-tone headline text with AI-driven accent highlighting.
Brand Structured
Bold headlines with rounded-corner image zones, accent-colored elements, and L-shaped layouts for a modern, structured look.
Auto mode: By default, Viraly picks a layout style automatically. You can ask the agent to use a specific style or category, or use none to skip the overlay entirely. You can also change the layout style later from the overlay editor.
Brand Styling
Every generated image automatically uses your brand settings:
- Colors — Your primary and accent brand colors are used for overlay backgrounds, text, and highlighted words
- Fonts — Your headline font is used for titles, and your body font for baseline text. Highlighted words use your headline font in semi-bold italic with your accent color
- Logo — A small logo watermark is placed in the corner of the image
- Visual style — Your visual style description is injected into the image prompt
Text Highlighting
Viraly automatically highlights 2–3 key words in the headline using your accent color and a semi-bold italic style. This draws attention to the most impactful part of your message.
- When AI generates a headline, it automatically selects words to highlight
- In the overlay editor, you can manually select text and toggle highlighting with the highlight button
- Highlighted words are stored inline using double-quote markers — the editor shows them visually without revealing the quotes
Tips for Good Image Prompts
- Be specific— Describe a concrete scene, not an abstract concept. "Person working at a modern desk with a laptop" is better than "productivity."
- Keep it simple — One subject, one setting. The AI produces better results with focused compositions.
- Describe the environment — Mention the setting: office, coffee shop, outdoors, workshop, etc.
- Skip text instructions — Never ask for text in the image. The layout engine handles text overlays separately.
- Think real photography — The system generates photorealistic images. Describe scenes that could exist in real life.
Re-generating & Editing
If you're not happy with a generated image, you can:
- Ask the agent to generate a new image with a different prompt
- Specify a different layout style
- Edit the headline, baseline, highlight, font, colors, and opacity in the overlay editor
- Upload your own image to the media library instead
The original image (without overlay) is always preserved, so you can re-render with a different layout style or settings at any time.
AI Video Generation
Viraly can also generate short AI videos from text prompts. Videos are ideal for social platforms that favor motion content — YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn video posts, and X video tweets.

Note: Video generation typically takes longer than image generation (30 seconds to a few minutes depending on the model). The generated video is saved to your media library once complete.
Video Generation — How It Works
- You provide a prompt — describe the scene, action, and mood you want in the video.
- Viraly enhances the prompt— your brand's visual style and business context are injected to keep the video on-brand.
- The video is generated — using your chosen video model. Generation runs in the background so you can continue working.
- The result is saved — to your media library, ready to attach to a post and publish.
Tips for Good Video Prompts
- Describe motion— What action is happening? "A barista pouring latte art in slow motion" gives better results than "coffee shop."
- Set the mood— Mention lighting, atmosphere, and camera angles: "warm golden hour light, shallow depth of field."
- Keep it short — AI-generated videos work best as short clips (5–15 seconds). Focus on one scene.
- Be cinematic— Think of it as a short film clip. Describe camera movement if relevant: "slow pan across..." or "close-up of..."
